Tees on "Project Runway:" a nice slice of originality

So I've finally gotten around to watching the finale of "Project Runway," and ---SPOILER AHEAD!---

"Meana Irina" won. Despite the fact that Michael Kors pointed out her "warrior woman" theme has been done before. It did look a little familiar...Oh, that's right. It's been done BY ONE OF THE BIGGEST FASHION ICONS IN THE WORLD. RECENTLY.

Nearly everything in Irina's collection of black, leather, corset-y tops, boots, helmet hats, and fitted jackets has been in Madonna's rotation since she got over that bright leotard phase. Weird, considering how paranoid Irina was about other people copying her work...

What was refreshing, however, was Irina's use of tees. Her soft "boyfriend" tees were a nice contrast to the toughness of her garments, and made her copycat concept seem less tired.
